This does not mean that it will be a solo trip to a library or museum. Immersive Education states that group work can be due through virtual study. Our class this semester has witnessed that meeting virtually can be just as productive. This is why customizing our avatars is so important to show everyone else who we are, what we like, etc.
The Smithsonian LVM virtual Watershed community is a perfect example of how a community of people can work together to make a finished product. All different kinds of people were able to work on it together such as students, scientists, educators and museum professionals. Allowing a variety of intelligent individuals to work with one another allows the finished product to look professionally done.
Once certain bugs are figured out and more people are involved with virtual worlds, then this is a great idea. Personally, I would not use a virtual world for an education purpose due to the compatibly of my computer with the programs. Once I am updated and have all the necessary software, I would be interested in taking place in a build. It allows me to be creative while learning something new.
